What’s in it for me?
Volunteering at the centre will give you a chance to build your skills and work experience with the potential for free training (dependant on your role).
You might be retired and looking for something to fill your day, you might want to give something back to your community, or you might want to volunteer on casual basis before you feel ready to return to a work environment.
Whatever your reason, volunteering at Greenstead is an ideal opportunity to become part of a fun and friendly team, working to develop the Community Centre and provide the very best facility to the local community.
Become a Trustee
Legal responsibility for the community centre rests with its trustees, the Greenstead Community Association (Registered Charity 1082081). Trustees meet bi-monthly with an Annual General Meeting occurring every Autumn.
The purpose of the board of trustees is to support the future development of the community centre in conjunction with the permanent staff employed by the GCA.
Two regular sub-groups support the Association by overseeing development in Finance and General Purposes and Events and Activities. The trustees work on a voluntary basis and give their time and skills to support the Community Centre achieve its goals and objectives.
